"החג של החגים" הוא חגם של כל אלה הרוצים לציין את הייחודיות של העיר חיפה. זאת היא הצדעה לסגנון חיים שהתפתח וטופח במשך שנים ודורות.

"חג של החגים" החל למעשה בחיפה, עוד בשנת 1914 כאשר התמנה חסן שוקרי לתפקידו כראש העיר הראשון של חיפה, כראש עיר של כ-ו-ל-ם, מאז אותו יום החלה מסורת "החג של החגים". מסורת שטופחה על ידי תושביה של חיפה ועל ידי כל ראשי העיר לדורותיהם.

גם כשהיו משברים [והיו] השכילו ראשי העיר, פרנסיה והתושבים לגשר ולבנות לבנה אחר לבנה את חיי השיתוף, השכנות והאחווה בין כל תושבי העיר.

ה"חג של החגים" הוא החג של חיפה ! החג אותו ניתן לחוג רק בחיפה ואותו חוגגים רק בחיפה. במהלכו נערכים מיגוון רחב של אירועי תרבות, אמנות וקולינריה ושכונת ואדי ניסנאס הופכת למוזיאון פתוח בו מציגים מיטב אמני ישראל יצירות פיסול ומייצגי חוצות.

האינטרקציה בין האמנים היהודים והערבים לבין התושבים והאורחים ושילוב יצירות האמנות ושירי המשוררים יוצרים מפגש רב משתתפים ללא מחיצות בין תרבויות ודתות ומדגישים את העובדה כי כולנו בני אדם חפצי חיים ורודפי ושלום . פסטיבל "החג של החגים", מבטא את הפסיפס האנושי של תושבי חיפה, שאימצו את הסובלנות כדרך חיים.

"החג של החגים" השנה, יהיה עשיר בתכנים ובאירועים אשר יהוו המשך למסורת החג וחוויה ייחודית לתושבי העיר ולעשרות אלפי המבקרים הבאים ומתבשמים באווירה של חיפה.

תודה לכל מי שהכינו וטרחו בהכנת הפסטיבל. לנו תושבי העיר והאורחים הרבים לא נותר אלא לבוא ולהנות.

The "Holiday of Holidays" Festival is a joyous occasion for those wishing to mark the distinctiveness of the city of Haifa. It is a salute to a lifestyle which has been developed and maintained by its inhabitants for years and generations.

The time-honored tradition of "Holiday of Holidays" dates back to 1914, the year when Hassan Shukri, the first mayor of the city of Haifa -"Everyone's Mayor"- was assigned. It is a tradition nurtured by Haifa residents and the city leaders for generations ever since.

Through thick and thin, surviving times of crisis and tribulation, the mayors of the city, community leaders and its residents have succeeded in uniting and building, brick by brick, the neighborly coexistence and its famous cooperation among all inhabitants.

The 'Holiday of Holidays" is Haifa's celebration! The one holiday to celebrate exclusively in Haifa. It holds within it many cultural events, local art and distinctive culinary delights. The neighborhood of Vadi Nisnas becomes an open environment museum where the finest artists in Israel display their exhibits and sculpture work.

The interaction between Jewish and Arab artists, residents and visitors and the interweaving of artwork and poetry create a meeting without boundaries of culture and religion, enhancing the fact that we are all essentially peace loving humans.
The "Holiday of Holidays" Festival articulates the human montage that makes the city of Haifa, a city whose residents implement tolerance as a way of life.

This year's "Holiday of Holidays" will be enhanced with substance and events which extend the prominent tradition of the fest, providing an exceptional experience for the city's residents and tens of thousands of visitors who are welcome to enjoy Haifa's generous hospitality.
